The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA): The most extensive association with 1,000+ member schools, 450,000+ student athletes. This is the most competitive league for sport scholarships and distributes the most funding per sport.

 

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA): There are around 250 schools, 65,000 student athletes,  21 conferences and 26 championships and a significant amount of funding available for sport scholarships.

 

National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA): 520+ schools in 24 regions and also administers a significant amount of funding in sport scholarships. Two-year community colleges.
